Housing

Nashville offers several neighborhoods with various housing options for your family’s needs.

12 South is a hot spot in Nashville that offers you to be close to restaurants and shops, but offers the quiet home setting.  Sevier Park is located within 12 South and is popular with local residents.  Located within just a short cab right to many other hot spots in Nashville.

The Gulch is an up and coming neighborhood offering modern conveniences.  The Gulch is located in Downtown Nashville and offers a trendy and luxurious lifestyle.  Many shops, restaurants and bars are located within The Gulch and Broadway is just a short cab ride away.

Germantown is an affordable option for those wanting to be close to Downtown Nashville.  Offering condos and townhomes, the Germantown area is quieter than other neighborhoods.  There is also the Bicentennial Capital Mall State Park located next to Germantown offering Tennessee State History.

Green Hills offers plenty of housing options including single family homes, condos and townhouses.  If you want to be close to the city, but have a little more space then Green Hills is for you.  Located in Green Hills is the Green Hills Mall offering upscale shopping.  Even though Green Hills is not located in the Heart of Nashville, you are just a short drive away from many of the Nashville Neighborhoods.

Things to do in Nashville

Visit the Country Music Hall of Fame.  Offering ever-changing exhibits featuring both the legends of country music combined with today’s hottest artists.  The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum boasts more than 2.5 million artifacts including recordings, photographs, costumes and musical instruments.  Take your time exploring the history of Country Music, shop in one of the two on-site retail stores, or grab a bite to eat inside the museum as the 2/22 eatery.  http://countrymusichalloffame.org/

Stroll down Broadway.  There is never a shortage of bars or restaurants located on Broadway in Downtown Nashville.  Visit the world famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge for live music, grab a burger and listen to live music at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, dance the night away at Tequila Cowboy, or visit one of the many boot shops to pick up a pair of cowboy boots.

Take the family out for a day of fun.  There are also plenty of family activities to choose from in Nashville, it isn’t all bars and boots.  Take the kids to the Adventure Science Center offering hands on science exhibits.  Be an astronaut, play laser tag or clime the adventure tower offering a spectacular view of Downtown Nashville.   http://www.adventuresci.org/

Take a tour of Music Row and visit RCA Studio B where Elvis recorded over 200 songs.  Dolly Parton, Chet Atkins and many other artists also recorded at the historic RCA Studio B.  Tours depart from the Country Music Hall of Fame.

 

Shopping in Nashville

From boutique shops to large shopping malls.  U.S. News ranked Nashville among the 9 Shopping Destinations Worth Traveling to.  Offering music stores, record stores, boutique fashion shops and home furnishings.  The Downtown and SoBro Area offers the Johnny Cash Museum Store, Goo Goo Shop and Dessert Bar, Country Music Hall of Fame, Rocket Fizz Soda Shop and of course Boot Stores!  12 South offers unique shopping opportunities and locally owned shops.  White’s Mercantile is owned by Hank Williams’ granddaughter and offers home furnishings, Imogene and Willie is a local hangout offering jeans made on-site.  The Green Hills Mall offers upscale shopping and anchored by large department stores and also include high end shopping including Tiffany’s, Louis Vuitton, Tory Burch and Burberry.

Bridgestone Arena

Nissan Stadium
